I had read the book a couple of years ago but thought of it last night when "Jaws" aired on local television. I looked it up on the web and came across your song. It was incredible. I was moved to tears. It is remeniscent of another great maritme song, "The Wreck of the Edmund fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot. It is one of the greatest compliments I could give you to equate your song with his. What a tribute to all who served in the Pacific theater. keep up the great work.
