Just finished In Harms Way. Sad,touching and eye opening. Capt. McVay was railroaded. Responsiblity lies with Naval personnel first for not informing Cpt. McVay of dangers enroute to Leyte and second ignored SOS messages by naval personnel. If anyone was at fault, it was them and i believe the lives of that crew, excluding those killed outright by the torpedo, lies in their hands. I am a civilian with no connection to Navy.
